At this point we've accomplished a fair bit. There is a tiny bit of house cleaning that needs to be done before we can go into editing.
Open Renamer again. We need to chop off the _l and the _r on the ends of our SPM processed files.
We will need to add one rule, Delete from (select right-to-left) 2 characters.
Here it is, the left and right images will be identically named after we run this process on both the right and the left set of images.
The left directory should have files with identical names to those in the right directory. This is mandatory for editing to work.
We also need to create a new directory within 1600 called working. This directory will stay empty until just before editing.
